What We Practice
1. We accept the Bible as Our Sole Authority – 2 Timothy 3:15.
Since God’s Word is the only completely reliable and trustful authority, we accept the Bible as our manual for living. When we are faced with any problem or decision our first question is, “What does the Bible say”. We practice daily Bible Reading, Bible Study and Bible memorization.
2. We accept Christ as the head of each Local Church. Colossians 1:18
Christ is the recognized head of our Church, not any person, group or religious organization. While recognising the value of associating and cooperating with other groups of Christians, we believe every Local Church should be self-governing and independent from any denominational control.
3. We accept the Priesthood of every believer. Revelation1:16; 1 Peter 2:9.
The Bible teaches that every Christian is called to ‘FULL TIME’ Christian Service, regardless of his or her vocation. We practice the truth that every believer is a minister by encouraging every member to find a place of service and ministry. Every believer has direct access to God through prayer and Bible Reading, (All our services helps to fulfil this ministry).
4. We practice baptism by immersion - Colossians 1:12.
We believe the Bible teaches water baptism by immersion. Secondly, Jesus was baptised by immersion.
5. We practice Tithing – Leviticus 26:30.
We believe that giving 10% of your income is the Biblical standard for giving and also God’s way of blessing His children.
6. We accept speaking in tongues as a prayer language giving by the Holy Spirit at the time of the Spirit’ Baptism – Acts 2:1-4; 10:44-46; 19:1-6; 1 Corinthians 14:2, 15, 18, 39.
We practice speaking and singing in tongues during times of prayer and worship.
7. We practice Spirit –led living – Ephesians 5:18; John 15:5.
We believe the only way possible to live the Christian life is by God’s power with us. So we seek to practice a daily dependence on God’s Spirit to enable us to do what is right.
8. We practice Open Communion – 1 Corinthians 11:23-26.
We believe the Lord’s Supper is a statement of faith and therefore everyone who has received Jesus as his personal Lord and Saviour can partake.
9. We practice Witnessing – 1 Peter 3:15; Matthew 28:19-20
It is the responsibility of every Christian to share the Good News with those God brings us into contact with. We expect members to invite friends to Church.
10. We believe in Divine Healing – Isaiah 53:4, 5; Matthew 8:16; James 5:14-16.
Divine healing is an integral part of the Gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement and is the privilege of all believers.
OUR COMMITMENT

The membership commitment is a commitment to Christ and the Kingdom Life A o G Church family. Ephesians 2:19; Romans 12:4, 5.
Why should I be committed to a church?
It identifies you as a true lover of Jesus Christ. 1 John 3:16; John 13:34-35
It provides a spiritual family to support and encourage you in your walk with Christ. Galatians 6:1, 2; Hebrews 10:24-25
It places you under the spiritual protection of Godly leaders. Hebrews 13:17; Acts 20:28-29.
It gives you the accountability you need to grow. Ephesians 5:21.
The Church provides you with benefits you cannot find anywhere in the world.
Worship helps youo focus on God. It prepares you spiritually and emotionally for the week ahead. NOTE! BE A REGULAR SUNDAYWORSHIPER
Fellowship helps you face life’s problems by providing the support and encouragement of other Christians. NOTE! ATTEND ALL CHURCH SERVICES
Discipleship helps you fortify your faith by learning the truth of God’s Word and applying Biblical principles to your lifestyle. NOTE! ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE TAUGHT
Ministry helps you find and develop your talents and use them in serving others. NOTE! BE PART OF A MINISTRY IN CHURCH
Evangelism helps you to fulfil your mission of reaching your friends and family for Christ. NOTE! WITNESS DAILY AND PAY YOUR MISSION PLEDGE.
The Maturity Commitment is a commitment to Habits necessary for spiritual growth. 2 Peter 3:18; 1 Timothy 4:7.
FACTS ABOUT SPIRITUAL MATURITY
- It is not automatic. Hebrews 5:12-13
- It is a process. Proverbs 8:5; 2 Peter 3:18
- It takes discipline. 1Timothy 4:7b
UNDERSTANDING DISCIPLESHIP
- Mature believers are called disciples
- I cannot be a disciple without being disciplined
- The more disciplined I become the more God can use me.
- The mark of a disciple is cross bearing – Luke 9:23; 14:27
- What is involved in “Cross bearing”? Whatever it takes to give Christ the first place in my life.
- How can I become a disciple? Develop Disciple Habits. Colossians 3:9, 10.
FOUR HABITS OF A DISCIPLE
- Time with God’s Word - John 8:31-32
- Time with God in Prayer - John 15:7-8
- Tithing and offering – Luke 1:3; Deuteronomy 14:23
- Fellowship – John 13:34-35; Hebrews 10:25
The ministry commitment is a commitment to discovering and using my God-given gifts and abilities in serving God and others – 1 Peter 4:10; 1 Peter 4:10; 1 Corinthians 12:5, 27.
Every believer is not a pastor, but every believer is called into ministry;
- To be a Christian is to be like Christ – Mark 10:45
- Every Christian is created for Ministry – Ephesians 2:20
- Every Christian is saved for Ministry – 2 Timothy 1:9
- Every Christian is called into Ministry – 1 Peter 2:9-10
- Every Christian is gifted for Ministry – 1 Peter 4:10
- Every Christian is authorised for Ministry – Matthew 28:18-20
- Every Christian is commanded to Minister – Matthew 20:26-28
- Every Christian is to be prepared for Ministry – Ephesians 4:11-12
- Every Christian is needed for Ministry – 1 Corinthians 12:27
- Every Christian is accountable for Ministry and will be rewarded according to his or her Ministry – Colossian 3:23-24.
